While the X-Border-GDI programme has already started the realisation of the geoportal and the establishment of X-GDI basic services, there is still much work to be done. It is still possible to get involved.

Three elements are essential to participating in X-Border-GDI:

• Cross-border co-operation between the Netherlands and Germany in these areas of application. 
• The ability to demonstrate added value, e.g. by making a contribution to the continued infrastructure and software development.
• Ensuring access to existing or new data sources.
